Greetings from the MGE School Partnerships Team!
Dear Educators,
Goodbye, summer—and welcome, fall! I hope you had a fun and restful summer. As someone who works in the energy world, I always get excited about the change of seasons—not only because of how the environment changes, but also because it gives us a chance to reflect on how we use electricity and natural gas, reminding us to look for simple ways to conserve energy.
It’s always great to see students and families learning with us and engaging in relevant energy topics, from ways to conserve energy to how energy is produced. This fall, we’ll have several opportunities to connect, learn together and share community resources to help families manage energy use, including energy assistance for those who may need help paying their utility bills.
In this issue of Powerline, you’ll find highlights on upcoming learning opportunities, including Día de Fútbol and the KidWind Challenge. We also hope you’ll reach out if you’d like to arrange a classroom visit or learn more about the energy education opportunities we offer. Feel free to email us anytime with questions at eduservices@mge.com.
We wish you a great and fun school year, and we thank you for all you do to make learning meaningful for students. We appreciate your partnership with MGE and your help bringing energy education into the classroom.
In partnership,
Mario Garcia Sierra and the MGE School Partnerships Team
