Natural Gas Rates

In 2025, MGE worked collaboratively with community and customer representatives in our regulatory process to reach a unanimous rate settlement agreement that resolved all issues in our rate case. The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) reviewed and approved this agreement, which established our electric and natural gas rates. 

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, overall natural gas rates increased 2.77%. Impacts for customers vary by rate class. The primary driver of the change is continued investment in system modernization projects that support a safe, dependable natural gas system serving our community.
