Electric Rates

In 2025, MGE worked collaboratively with community and customer representatives in our regulatory process to reach a unanimous rate settlement agreement that resolved all issues in our rate case. The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSCW) reviewed and approved this agreement, which established our electric and natural gas rates. 

Effective Jan. 1, 2026, overall electric rates increased 0.15%. Impacts for customers vary by rate class. The primary drivers of the change are investments in local generation resources and ongoing grid modernization projects that help ensure reliable electric service for our community.
