Energy 2030: Building a Community Energy Company for the Future

Energy 2030 Video

Energy 2030 is our framework for a more sustainable future. We have set ambitious goals to grow renewable energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

We are working together with our customers to reduce carbon dioxide emissions 40% by 2030. This target is consistent with the U.S. targets established as part of the Paris Agreement on climate change.

80% reduction in carbon emissions by 2050

The U.S. Mid-Century Strategy (MCS) for Deep Decarbonization is the United States' strategy for meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change to limit global warming to two degrees Celsius. The MCS identifies greenhouse gas emissions reductions of 80% by 2050 (from 2005 levels).

MGE is committed to reducing carbon emissions at least 80% by 2050. If we can go further faster by working together with our customers, we will.
