MGE Crews Nearly Finished Restoring Power

Madison, Wis., June 17, 2014—Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) reports that as of 9 p.m. about 70 electric customers remain without electric service, down from about 5,000 at the peak of the storm.

MGE expects to have power restored to the majority of those customers by midnight. A few will remain out of service until early morning.

Customers who are still without power should call MGE at 252-7111.

Never approach a downed power line or anything that comes in contact with it. Always presume a power line is energized and extremely dangerous. Report downed lines at 252-7111.
