New apartments flood Madison market

A record number of new apartments, many with luxurious amenities, opened in Madison during the late spring/early summer this year. Recent openings include:

  • 306 West (180 apartments)
  • Domain (326 apartments)
  • Hub (313 apartments)
  • Nine Line at the Yards (80 apartments)
  • Ovation (309 apartments)
  • Treysta on the Water (211 apartments)

Some of the amenities include:

  • An indoor bicycle service station
  • An electric vehicle charging station
  • A heated pet washing station
  • A rooftop sundeck with an infinity-edge pool, two hot tubs and cabanas
  • In-apartment bike storage
  • A 20-foot LED outdoor TV screen
  • Professional concierge service

Watermark Lofts (80 apartments) is planning on opening in late summer with Capitol's Edge (49 apartments) following in the late fall/early winter.

Two developers recently announced plans for more apartment construction. On the east side, three four-story buildings with 284 rental units plus a clubhouse and pool have been proposed on a 14.6-acre site on Portage Road. On the far west side northeast of Middleton, The Community of Bishops Bay has just broken ground for the community's first apartment building. The building, with 105 units, is set to open in summer 2016, with amenities such as a pool, hot tub and fitness center.
