Natural Gas Piping Service

• Effective September 26, 2022, MGE no longer provides natural gas piping installations. Call your plumber or heating contractor for natural gas piping for new construction or extensive remodeling projects. 
• MGE does not provide appliance inspection, installation or repair services.

For MGE customers who already have natural gas service, MGE will:

• Disconnect gas appliances when you need to move them for remodeling or relocation.
• Connect gas appliances when you finish remodeling or have just moved in.

Current MGE labor charges (effective November 8, 2021)

Weekdays*
$66.39 - minimum 1/2-hour labor rate

All other times
$93.46 - minimum 1/2-hour labor rate

*Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding holidays.
