Green and Healthy Schools Summit

Green and Healthy Schools Wisconsin will hold its annual summit on Friday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oregon Middle School in Oregon, Wis. The summit is an opportunity to take home skills and content to advance sustainable practices at your school.

This year's keynote speakers are "Mr. Peanuts," Rodney Esser, head custodian of 51 years, and Amy Callies, teacher, both from Park Elementary School in Cross Plains.

Learn about Park Elementary's path to sustainability "from the heart." Mr. Peanuts will share how his passion for creating a green and healthy school led to Park Elementary receiving the U.S. Department of Education's Green Ribbon designation in 2014.

Schools are encouraged to bring a team. Contact Susan.Schuller@uwsp.edu for schools sending three or more representatives to receive a registration discount code. Admission: $25/adult and $10/student for early bird registration.
