Electric vehicle charging program

Electric vehicle charging program

Despite the recent drop in gasoline prices, there is increased local interest in EVs and expanding the network of EV charging stations both at area workplaces, public parking lots, and multifamily buildings. In fact, some real estate developers and employers are installing EV charging stations as a way to attract and retain tenants or employees. Workplace charging continues to grow with employees' requests for workplace charging. Locally, American Family Insurance, Raven Software, UW-Madison and Madison Metropolitan School District Administrative Building have installed charging stations. Currently, MGE has a public network of 27 charging stations in the Madison area.
