2016 WEEB grant applications available now

2016 WEEB grant applications available now

The Wisconsin Environmental Education Board will continue its successful environmental education grant program for 2016. A total of $90,000 is available for general environmental education, $90,000 for Forestry Education and $90,000 for School Forest Implementation projects. Deadline for receiving completed applications is October 31, 2015.

The Wisconsin Environmental Education Board (WEEB) was created by 1989 Act 299, becoming law in 1990. One of the Board's responsibilities is to:

  • award grants for the development,
  • dissemination, and
  • implementation of environmental education programs.
Funded projects have included statewide initiatives as well as small localized efforts. Audiences served include K-12 public and private school children, members of various youth organizations, classroom teachers and other educators, landowners, park patrons, tourists, government officials, business owners and employees and of course the public.
