Green Power Tomorrow

Help us make 2008—and beyond—greener, cleaner

MGE's expanded green pricing program, called Green Power Tomorrow, will allow an average household using 600 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per month to offset 100% of the carbon dioxide emissions generated from their electricity use for an extra $6 per month. Green power from MGE costs 1¢ per kWh—less than half the cost of our earlier wind program.

Most of the new green energy comes from wind farms located in Wisconsin and Iowa. A small amount will come from solar electric systems located in our community.

With these wind and solar projects in our energy mix, MGE has significantly expanded the amount of renewable energy available for electric customers to buy.

If you are a Madison resident and want to help make Madison the clean, green energy capital, you can add your green power to the Mpowering Madison campaign.
