For only $6 extra per month, average MGE residential customers (based on a 600-kilowatt-hours monthly usage) can buy enough green power to offset 100% of their electricity-generated carbon dioxide emissions.

Since the start of this year, three times more renewable energy is now available for MGE customers to buy because:

• New wind power projects in Wisconsin and Iowa have gone online, and
• Local solar PV installations have been added to the green power program.

The extra charge for MGE customers already purchasing green energy from our Kewaunee wind farm has gone down. The new price for Green Power Tomorrow electricity is only one-cent extra per kilowatt-hour.
