Air
Dane County Regional Airport provides daily nonstop flights to major cities, including Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Cincinnati and Detroit. Nine commercial carriers provide flexibility and competitive rates.
Highway

- Interstate 90/94 is Wisconsin's main commercial artery, connecting Chicago, Minneapolis and Milwaukee.
- U.S. Highway 51 is a main north-south link in Wisconsin.

Passenger rail
Governor Jim Doyle's Grow Wisconsin plan calls for the state to invest in passenger rail service. A Madison-to-Milwaukee, high-speed rail corridor is already part of the proposed Midwest Regional Rail Initiative, a 3,000-mile passenger rail system.

Bus
Bus lines in MGE's service area can take you where you need to go:
- Greyhound Bus Lines has arrivals and departures daily from depots in Madison and other communities in MGE's service area.
- Badger Coaches Madison depot offers service to and from Milwaukee.
- Van Galder Bus Co. provides service between Madison and Chicago's O'Hare Airport, Chicago's Midway Airport and downtown Chicago.
