Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) serves 163,000 electric customers in the Madison area and 176,000 natural gas customers in south-central and western Wisconsin. Our roots in the Madison area date back more than 150 years. MGE is the main subsidiary of MGE Energy, an investor-owned public utility holding company dedicated to steady growth and strong financial performance.

Our headquarters is located in beautiful downtown Madison, Wis., which is consistently ranked as a top community in which to live, work, play, and raise a family.
