Stolper Elected to Madison Gas and Electric and MGE Energy Boards
Madison, Wis., Dec. 22, 2008—Thomas R. Stolper has been elected to the Board of Directors of Madison Gas and Electric and MGE Energy effective Dec. 19, 2008.
Stolper has been a certified public accountant since 1972 and a partner in the accounting and consulting firm of Clifton Gunderson LLP of Middleton, Wis., since 1977. Stolper received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
MGE Energy, Inc. (Nasdaq: MGEE) is a public utility holding company. Its principal subsidiary, Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), generates and distributes electricity to 136,000 customers in Dane County, Wis., and purchases and distributes natural gas to 140,000 customers in seven south-central and western Wisconsin counties. MGE's roots in the Madison area date back more than 150 years. |
