KEEP - Teacher professional development
A series of energy education courses offered through the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP) are offered to certified K-12 teachers. KEEP was established in 1995 to improve and increase energy education in Wisconsin. KEEP is a collaborative effort between the Wisconsin Focus on Energy and the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education at UW-Stevens Point. Teachers whose schools are located in the MGE gas/electric service area can receive partial scholarships from MGE to offset the cost of the course. Teachers who complete a course can receive one graduate credit for $50 to $100 depending on the course. For course descriptions, visit the Wisconsin K-12 Energy Education Program (KEEP).
