Baseload RFP
MGE is seeking proposals for baseload generating capacity of 50 to 100 megawatts (MW) per unit, for a total of up to 100 MW.
MGE will consider proposals:
- Offering multiunits at a single site with phased in-service dates.
- Having individual units larger than 100 MW, but MGE intends to limit its interest to no more than 100 MW per unit.
- Sourced from a seller’s system supply or portfolio of resources if a respondent wishes to offer such a proposal.
Generators must have the ability to operate at or above an 85 percent annual capacity factor.
Offered baseload capacity may be for deliveries beginning as early as 2011, but delivery must start no later than 2015.
