Helping power tomorrow today

Two complementary programs

MGE offers two new programs that help us work together with you to save energy and provide for a cleaner tomorrow.

Power Tomorrow

Power Tomorrow calls on us to take the next step toward a greater energy efficiency commitment in our lives. Start by taking five simple but powerful steps:

1. Control your thermostat.
2. Switch to compact fluorescents.
3. Wash your laundry in cold water.
4. Turn off the juice when not in use—an easy way to conserve energy.
5. Look for the ENERGY STAR® label when buying appliances.

If we all take these steps, we could save electricity and natural gas equivalent to the use of more than 20,000 homes each year.

Green Power Tomorrow

Go green when you power your tomorrow.

Now you can offset the carbon generated by your electricity use by choosing to purchase clean, renewable electricity. For $6 extra per month, average MGE residential customers using 600 kWh per month can buy enough green power to offset 100% of their electricity-generated carbon dioxide emissions.

Since the start of the year, nine times more renewable power has become available for MGE customers to buy due to:

• Local solar photovoltaic installations.

• New wind power projects that have gone online in Wisconsin and Iowa.

The new price for Green Power Tomorrow electricity is $0.01 extra per kilowatt-hour—one-third the price of our original green pricing program.

Sign up today. It's now easier to go green than ever. For more on these programs, visit mge.com. You can unsubscribe from the program, if you choose, at any time.
